I just purchased one yesterday for $50 at Shucks. When you guys put it on is it straight like the diagram?? Or is it angled? Because whenever I put it straight like the picture it seems to be loose and the autolock just rests on the clutch pedal, i have the base of it over the left foot rest, is this correct? help.. i'm dumb
i jus throw it on real quick, i press the clutch and at the same time pull the autolock so its not loose. most of the time its on straight once in awhile its angled but doesnt bother me as long as its on tight.
I have mine at somewhat of an angle. It isn't completely straight at full lock. When mounted to the clutch pedal assembly, the lock faces towards the right.
Experiment to see what position locks more securely. Just make sure you can lock it as tight as possible.

wen mines mounted, the bottom (the 3 "legs") sits somewhat on the floor right behind the clutch pedal, its not sitting on the left foot rest. i'll take a pic in a few

the third "leg" sits above the foot rest but doesnt touch it. hopfully the pics help out in any way

Does it rest on the pedal? Cuz whenever i try it, it rests on the pedal and feels pretty loose, no matter how hard i tighten it. I tried different angles, but they all seem the same...
i bought a car at an auction that was a stripped and had a broeken autlock in it and the bent the whole clutch pedal i had to buy a whole new pedal asembly, so i woudl say autolock doesnt work

The autlock isn't a foolproof device, but is meant as a deterrant. If anyone think's that an autolock is going to save their car, then they're fooling themselves. Instead, the autolock should be used in conjuction with other methods (alarms, killswitches) in order to deter and slow down thieves.

True that, I've seen pics of people sawing off half the clutch pedal with a hack or coping saw. You don't need the bottom of the pedal to operate the clutch, alls you need is a little stub to stick out, and they can put it in gear. I've heard of theives operating a broken clutch pedal with their hands!!!

I still can't get that mother F*cker tight, it sits pretty loose still.. but the most i got it was so that you can press the clutch in about 1/4 in, but it rests on the pedal.
Mine rests on the carpet between under the clutch and the foot rest. I always put my foot on the little arm on the autolock and pull the lever until it is really stiff. This way it isn't easy to move around. Over time you will get these little ruts in your carpet from the autolock sitting in it, then every time you put it on it should get a little easier. I've been using the autolock pro for about a year and a half now and can put it on perfectly in like 2 seconds in the dark.

anyone see the autolock X the chrome one.
