Default Any S2k owners using a Magnaflow catback?

I saw a Magnaflow catback on a black S2k yesterday. From a distance I thought it was an APEXi N1 exhaust. As I approached the car I noticed it was a Magnaflow single canister catback. It looked very nice and actually sounded really nice too; deep, throaty and smooth.

Any S2k owners using a Magnaflow setup? Probaby reasonably priced too.

Never seen the setup you are talking about, but just bear in mind........ most cat back exhaust systems for the S2000 (unless they are a single exhaust setup) will do nothing or actually cause you to lose HP.

Edit: if you are going just for the look then ignore me. I know not everyone is strictly going for performance.

I know that Spugen will put new canisters on OEM pipes. I think they use magnaflow, but I'm not sure. Maybe this was one of theirs?

I believe Spugen makes their own piping. If it was a single catback system, it definitely was not "OEM." They do use Magnaflow mufflers on several of their systems. They do not use Magnaflow on their new Ti v2 exhausts.

There are several products out there they have showed HP gain on a Dual System. Amuse, Spugen, etc.. This has been shown on a dyno. A single system should gain slightly more HP. The benefits of most aftermarket exhausts (dual OR single) systems is reduction of weight. Obviously the single will weigh less.

To the topic creator:

Did it look like this?

I am aware the spugen makes their own piping for their exhausts. But they will also add new mufflers to your OEM exhaust pipes if you'd prefer to go that route. Two different products.

Okay. That clears it up. First post was kind of unclear since he mentioned it was a single exhaust.

I think it's a Spugen because they are the only exhaust company I know of making a kit for the S2000 that uses Maganflow Mufflers. I have a Spugen Single-exit exhaust on my S2K and I love it.

JMS JT, the exhaust looked like the very first pic you posted (N1 style muffler) and underneath the canister it said "Magnaflow". Very nice looking system.

This was in NY State, Rockland county on the border of NY and NJ in case the poster is on this board.

OT: Just installed Skunk2 N1 catback on my 00 SI. Sounds nice..
