I am revamping a b18a with arias pistons eagle rods skunk2 cams and valve and basic bolt ons. What type of power output can I except out of this setup? And don't tell me to search because I have and I am just looking for some one out there to shout out an estimate or number. I think that with my new b16a head and all my new part I will probably have about 215. I am using a comptech intake system, apexi header, bomz high flow cat, jic st cat back, and my other various parts up top. Tell me what you think?

 

what's the compression on the pistons? and what stage skunk2 cams?...

 

id say about 140-160 without tuning, and then after tuning, about 170-185 or so. no way to tell other than getting on a dyno

 

youll eventually get 185 at the wheel tuned right assuming your compression is 10.5 or higher.

 

well they say that the skunk 2 cams stage 2 give you 22 hp. The pistons were going to be low compression because I am going to be running a good turbo setup on the car. Probably turbonetics with spearco intercooler. Does this help for a estimate.

 

 

i dont think skunk2 stage 2's will work very well with a turbo setup. stay with some GSR cams. skunk cams are designed to work with high compression NA engines

Stock Compression - 188.6 whp on Skunk2 Stage 1's, on VAFC tuning only.

185 whp is a bit low IMO.

Also - If youre running Skunk2 cams, get high-comp pistons. If youre going turbo, do not run Skunk2 cams.

Skunk 2 cams are pretty much for people beefing up NA motors.
