I have read my threads on the h22a engine swap, but I might g the oter route. I have a 95 Honda Accord Ex v6 sedan. I dont know the engine code, (i hink f22) How much would it cost for a manual trans? I would like to be able to beat some other imports. My auto is so slow. Is is more econonical for me to get the full h22a swap done?

 

um, u have a v6, the f22 is a 4-cyl, your engine code i think is c26??? experiment with the nsx tranny, and see if the heads will fit on the block

 

This question comes up every now and then.
As far as I know, Honda does not sell your engine with a manual tranny, so there is no direct bolt-on.
I don't think it's ever been done. If you do it, you may be the first. It's going to cost you though...

if all v6 honda blocks are the same then the nsx tranny should bolt up

 

would an older acura legend trans work they had v6 5-speeds???

 

well if it is a c series motor and it is front wheeldrive config or transverse, since the old legends were RWD, this would not work

 

the old legends were front wheel drive. and how do u plan on making an nsx trans work since that is a mid engine car?

Yeah, I have heard the Legend engine was a derivative of the NSX engine (probably only the blocks are remote cousins or something). They are both counter-clockwise rotating, transversly mounted 60 degree V6s.
I have no idea if the Accord V6 is related though.

 

The legend that had the same 2.7 as the accord did come with a 5-speed manual.

 

Oh chit. I didn't even realize we're talking about 5th gen Accord V6s here. Yeah that was based off of the 1st gen Legend V6. Might work, but they kinda just stuffed that engine into the 5th gen Accord as an afterthought to keep competitive with Toyota and such.

 

This is off the topic of the post, but does anyone know the size in cc/min of the C27A1 injectors?
