Tail lights and paint.....
Well I've decided that I want to paint my 95 GSR tail lights because im sick of the amber. Im going to paint them candy apple red (as suggested by some members). Now should I paint the entire tail light including the reverse light? Is that legal...anybody done it? could you post pics if you have. Thanks.....
if you want to check out pics of my car check the link in my sig, then you'll know why I want all red.

i don't know if it's illegal to not have white reverse lights, but i don't think you should paint them all red. i've seen some painted all red, and i don't think it looks that great, in my opinion. i painted my original lights with the transparent candy apple red, but the paint started to fade away after a few weeks. (maybe the paint sucked? i don't know) i just broke down and bought some 98+ tails from a member on here...
i painted my carbon fibers and they came out horrible, but now i know that i sprayed too many layers of the candy apple red paint. maybe 2 coats of the red is good. and clear coat.

oh yeah, i got these pics from another website

i painted mine nearly 6 months ago and they still look good. i did not paint the reverse light, because it will come out looking pink.
use several light coats of paint, then use duplicolor clearcoat. after everything is dry and the right amount of paint and clearcoat are applied, you may notice its not smooth. this is when you wet sand the lights.
search for that.
