Default Compressor Size help

This is custom kit. My friend going with a t3 and a .48 a/r for an LS. Now about the compressor side what do you think? .60? btw this is a garret so no super 60. my shop said anything from .45 to .6 will work fine. They also said that assuming 5 psi, there will be almost no hp difference at all between the two. Hmmmmm when do you think the t3 will spool? 3k? What does the number mean for the compressor side?? thanks a lot for any help.

from my research i have found that the a/r of the compressor side is negligible. what you use to choose the compressor side of a turbo is the compressor maps. these are either in cubic feet per minute or pounds per minute. what the map does is show the effiency of a compressor. aka how much heat is produced compared to psi produced. you will also have to figure out pressure ratio which is (14.7 + boost psi) / 14.7 . to totally understand talk to the person manufacturing that particular turbo. if you need more info or equations i can supply them too you.
