can i use my SI tranny on a D16a1 ?

yeah it's a D16 out of a 87-89 Integra to let you know

yes but i know it will go on a zc but this is a 86-87 integra motor not the zc .. its still a d series though. i wanna swap it tomm buit i gotta make sure my 89 SI tranny will go right on.

is it because of the flywheels? If so then just swapping them out would be cake and they should still work

wow......lots of confusion in this thread........the d16a1 engine will not bolt up to the d16a6 tranny.......the bolt pattern is different as are the mounting points
well just to let all know i did it today . my SI tranny did bolt on. only prob was the rear bottom bolt was off and one starter bolt did not line up . but its still on and workin. direct bolt in swap just had to wire dizzy plug due to plug diffs. but its in and running good. driver side mount needed 1.5" shortening. also.
