Drilling Rear LCA's for Itr rear sway bar install anyone done this?
for a 93 delslow si... I dont really want to get a set or gsr lca's if I dont have do.. Has anyone had any sucess doing this? Pro-cons?
Not sure what your trying to say here. Something like the LCA's themselves are not big enough?

The bolt that connects the endlinks to the LCA's is like 12 or 14mm. If you drill a hole that size in your lca, thats taking a nice piece of it out. Anyway, arent they ridged on the top and the bottom, so the only flat surface is right in the middle? I would rather spend $30-50 for integra ones just for piece of mind.

You an also get a set of the 4dr civic ex rear LCA's if you don't want to get integ ones. Not sure if there is a price difference.

I thought about this as an option as well but I'm just going to try and find a used set of teg LCA's because I'd be alot more comfortable with that
i wont not even think about doing it this way... teg lca have more support for the sway bar.. drilling into anything reduces the amount of support it can handle.. spend the money and do it right
I work at a machine shop and could have this done for FREE but I wouldnt want to ruin the strength of the LCA at any cost,
if you need oem LCA's they can be found for $50 a pair online every so often,
its an easy swap and another thing,
imagine if the LCAs failed while driving or cornering because you wanted to save $40 or $50....

Listen to these guys and do not attempt this. Drilling a hole that big in a piece of metal that's tiny to begin with drastically reduces the lca's integrity. I just bought a set of lca's from a 98 gsr for $80 shipped and the peace of mind it brings makes it worth every penny.
Thanks everyone for the warning. Forgive my ignorance in this. I think that Ill just buy a new set.... appreciate all the help
Its not your ignorance, it was brought up in the rr/ac forum because
of some rule that you cant change your rear control arms so it was
suggested to drill out the stock ones.

Here is a Suspension Techiques swaybar and you can see how they mount the endlinks to a plate that is bolted to the rerar lower shock fork bolt... so you can still use stock Civic CX/DX LCA's-
