are all the hid bulbs the same or are they different

 

DIFFERENT
different manufacturers...hella, orsam, philips, catz
different kelvin temps 4100k,4300k, 5000k, 6000k, etc....
different OEM designs d2s (projector), d2r (reflector)
different aftermkt retrofits.....

well i got the hid set up from a maxama in the junk yard but i dont know what year it was the *** end was crunched really bad ne way what year did they come with hids

 

the bulb that came out was a philips 35wat

 

which nissan? if it has metal crap on the bulb itslef its a d2r. if not its d2s. if it says phillips ont he bulb, then most likely its a 4300k bulb. stick between 4300-5100k for whitest/purest light. anything higher turns blue and actually emits less light

 

The maximas didnt have HID's until like 2002.. And i think they are D2S bulbs.. Pretty sure the maximas have projectors.. could be wrong though..
