JDM 4 to 1 header, will it hit the crossmember
As topic says, I am getting a JDM 4 to 1 header next week and I need to know if I am going to have clearance issues with the stock crossmember. TIA
you just need to bend the crossmember with a nice solid hammer. there is a tab on te crossmember that will hit the headers... you just need to bend it. should give you like 0.5-1.0" of extra space.
you'll see what i mean when you look at it.

Does this cause any issues with structural integrity of the front end?
EDIT: I doubt it would and I am not buying a new crossmember anyway, so we'll see what happens.

Yes is will hit the cross member. You will need to bend the lip of the crossmember back with a hammer(and a torch) if you want it to bend alittle eASIER. I thinhk it will be pretty hard with a motor in the car, seeing as how there is no room to swing the hammer. OR if you do not plan on using a heat shield....You can carefully cut off the heat shielt brackets. We did it in my frinds ef, cause it is hard to get the heatshield to fit anyway! Then just sand the welds smooth for a nice appearance! If will not do anything to the fron end.

Hmmm, don't know about those. My friend used Hasport mounts to slap a B20 in his hf and he used a DC 4-1 header, he didn't have to bang or cut the crossmember. I am using the Place Racing mount kit and it looks like I would have to cut mine or get an aftermarket one to make a header....
