I am looking for some experience people have had stuffing a B18C+ swap in a CRX.
The main info that I need would be, can you do it with the stock hood? Not a CF hood, or a JDM hood. I guessing that about everyone who has a B18C swap is using Hasport mounts.
I have Place Racing, and my B16 just barely clears the hood without hitting, so the taller B18C is definitely out of the question.

I don't see that much of an improvement going from a b16 to a b18c1 swap if you just paid for the b16 swap not too long ago. The power increase isn't worth the cash over the b16. I'd sooner install a turbo kit or build an engine with that $. Just my 2 cents......

wrong, i have Place racing mounts and a carbon hood and it has just the SLIGHTEST bit of rub with my b18c1.

I've done 2 GSR's into CRXs and my very own JDM Type R into my CRX HF.
On one customer's CRX with the old school HaSport mounts (non-billet) I only had to cut out the some of the "webbing" underneath the hood. That cleared fine.
On the other customer's CRX with GSR using the Newer Billet style Hasport mounts, the engine sits higher and tilted differently. I also had to cut out the "webbing" also, but the "Acorn" nuts used to hold the spark plug cover comes in contact with the hood.
( just the front two)
On my CRX HF with ITR motor, Im using the latest Hasport HYDRO EF kit, I also had to cut out some of the underhood "webbing" to clear the taller ITR engine. I also had to modify the HECK out of the front OEM crossmember to clear the JDM 4 into 1 header!! ( but that's another story)
If you are using the stock "sea-shell" GSR intake manifold in CRX or Civic, your TPS sensor is going to be pretty dang close to the fuel line coming from the firewall. Its a tight fit with that stock manifold.
If you have the dough, ditch that stock GSR manifold for a Skunk2.
