Default cheap intake for GSR

i have a 95 GSR and am looking for an intake. I have the apex-i WS catback, and it sounds real good, but its pretty quiet. i am looking to free up a few extra ponies and give the car more sound. what intake is recomended for cheap? is there like a DIY, or hacked intake box, type of mod for the car that works well. I am looking to stay away from injen, AEM type stuff for now, because am going to boost soon, and dont want to spend the money right now, what cheap and effective?

thanks

has anyone had experience with this product? any dyno gains, or performance times? how is the product itself?

Ebay intake with a good filter...whats the difference between a 150$ pipe and a 25$ pipe?nothing, except about 125$...use that money for a good filter and your set..just my opinion

why wouldnt that be the best idea? i am guessing water. so best intake to use is to just order a cheap one off ebay and purchase a decent filter like k&n or something?

i have a lot of experience with intakes, so i am not a noob with this stuff, but i dont want to drop the cash for a nice CAI or short ram, nor do i want to make a homemade one. just seeing what proved to be best for this car.
thanks
