chip swap p28 to a p78

Default chip swap p28 to a p78

i was wondering if i could swap a p28 chip for a p72 for the lower vtec engagment, im running a 94 integra ls with an ls vtec swap, its got the b16a1 head, right now it engages at 5000 and i want it lower. is it a good idea, can i do it

The P72 ECU is designed for a GSR head - different cams, secondary runners, etc. and wouldn't work well with the B16A head. If you want to lower the VTEC point, look into a Field's or Apex-i VAFC controller. You could get one of those cheaper than an OBD1 P72 ECU anyway. The best thing to do would be to dyno tune with one of the mentioned controllers, a FRP and some adj. cam gears then you can get the VTEC point dialed in where it's most beneficial.
