ok i alredy checked the archives. i need to know what the problem is. ny heat goes from cold to warm back to cold. if i run it hard it gets really hot. if i drive normal it gets kind of cool. the lower radiator hose does not even get hot. i replaced the thermostat and checked the water pipe from the water pump they are both hot. i am in colorado springs so it is getting cold as hell. please help i have to put my little girl (5 yrs.old) in this car.

sounds like you either have a half plugged heater core, or you still have some coolant bubbles running around in your system. I'd double check the coolant level, if it seems fine, then leave the cap off and run the car to operating temp so the rest of any bubbles can get out. The only other thing I can think of besides all that is...the heater control in the engine bay may not be fully opening or closing. To check this: put the heat control to hot, go under the hood and look on the firewall just to the left of the TB and down a bit (you'll see the heater hose running into the firewall) you'll see a lever on the hose, that lever should be in line with the hose. Now checnge the heater to cold and look again at that lever again, it should be perpindicular to the hose. Lemme know if you need further help and let us know what you find.

turn the heater control on so it opens up and lets coolent into the car and let the car run for 15 minutes. I have seen some bubles take a damn long time to get out.
