New Clutch and Flywheel ??
Hey guys, im goin to be purchasing a new clutch and maybee a flywheel soon. I have been leaning towars getting a Cluthcmasters Stage 3, and a ITR Flywheel, or Clutchmasters Flywheel. I plan on haveing a decent all motor setup in the future, and want to run 13's. I want a clutch that has the same pedal feel like the stock clutch, but grips great, becuase my car is more of a daily driver but i still go to the track alot. I just need something that is great for when i go to the track, and street race, but will feel like stock when i just drive around. What is the best setup for my me? Thanks
Clutchmasters stage 3 is the way to go and a ITR flywheel would be perfect. Don't be fooled in needing a lightened flywheel. Most people think this allows the engine to spin easier which is true but you lose all the inertia which gets you off the line.
A 12-14lb flywheel would be perfect and I think the ITR weighs 14 I believe which is 4lbs lighter than yours.
I"ve done my own experiment and verified this.

stage 3 clutch???? i dont think there is a need for that unless you have powerful engine. i dont mean like 250 + HP's i mean over 300 WHP. my friend has a stage 2 clutch and it really isnt nesessary. stage 2 is still good enough upto 300 Hp. dont waste your money its not gonna last any longer than stock clutch.

I want a new powefull clutch, im goin all motor and plan to make a good amount of power. I want to get a clutch now cuz i am getting a lsd too, i wanna do all my tranny work at the same time. As long as the stage 3 is easy to drive around daily ill get it. I just want the best clutch that is the easiest to use daily.

As for the flywheel, pay extra and get a quality steel one..Toda seems to be pretty popular. good luck!

OK, WHAT THE HECK IS SO BAD ABOUT STAGE3 CLUTCHS!!!!!!
Can someone please explain why stage2 is BETTER than stage3, If I don't give a rats *** about drivabliy, is there anything else that makes the stage2 better?
BTW, how much does a stock LS flywheel weigh?

I have a exedy street clutch with a clutchmasters flywheel. THe clutch grabs and holds the power with stock pedal feel. You are going with overkill, no need for a stage 3 clutch when you are n/a, 315 for the clutch from coximports and 280 for the flywheel from nrg.
While most "Stage 3" clutches may be aggressive...this is not the case with Clutchmasters. Clutchmasters has 5 stages...the stage 4 or 5 of CM is comparable to what other brands' might call their "stage 3". The Clutchmasters stage 3 is completely streetable....it drives virtually like stock with just a little extra bite. The pedal pressure is nice and easy just like stock. The Clutchmaster Stage 3 is probably a lot like ACT's Heavy Duty PP and street disc combo...with maybe a little more holding power.

How do you like the clutchmasters flywheel? It is around 8-9lbs correct? What are the big differences since you swapped in the flywheel? Im deciding on a flywheel as well.
I can get you a Clutchmasters clutch, and the fly wheel as well as anyother part for your car.

The flywheel is great, revs faster, takes a little to get used to, I have had it stall out once, but other than that, I like it. I think it is 8.5 pounds, can not remember right off hand.
