Default GSR & Special edition

I just wrecked my accord so I'm looking to buy a 94-97 Integra(5spd of course). I always wanted a teg GSR, but I could get a 95 Special Edition with 138kmi.

Whats the engine differences between the GSR and the Special Edition? They are both 170hp, right?

oh, and another stupid question.

Does the SE have rear disc...?

Sorry for the n00b questions.

GSR is 170hp VTEC
SE is 140hp non-VTEC (and has rear discs)

all integras' have rear disc breaks.

se has leather/power everything.
basically it has everything the gsr has but the the engine.

******Edit to question below.
se has the pupular engine know as the ls...iono y they walled it that.
but all
nonvtec =b18b lower compression
vtec =b18c1 higher compression

stock for stock if both were turbo'ed the gsr will win. the b18b can take more boost.

both will need to be built to take higher boost or no reliability.

Edit**
i think it's an alright price..i would personally save more and get a GSR...hehe

So the SE is beter for Turbo apps?

thats a tough one... How much should I pay for that 95 SE with 138kmi... Is 6000 too much?

I personally want SE for the leather seats.

Dragon, you would go for the GSR just because of the VTEC, right?

IMO thats too much, especially with the mileage. My buddy just got a 95 gsr 130k, black on black leather mint condition for $4,800. I would pay $6k for a gsr maybe, but even then with 130k miles thats still a bit much. Shop around and use your negotiating skills.

Nah that's not a very good deal, I've seen a GSR with less than 100K miles for a little over 6000, so I'd hold out. If you gotta drive 6 hours to get it, then do it!

no.....this was NOT an optional thing on the SE to get a VTEC motor. if you find an SE w/ VTEC, someone swapped motors somewhere down the line. the cars NEVER came like that from the factory.

first off, not allowed to post that stuff in here....

second off a gs-r w/ an intake and headers if far from "fast as hell", though it may "look" fast w/ all the body kit crap on it.

Hahah, GSR's have much more potential than LS's. I raced my friends LS and I beat him by 3+ cars and pulling. I even take out LS/VTEC's. Why put Intake/Headers/Exhaust into a LS when you can barely hang with a STOCK GSR with those mods. Just get a GSR.
