my interior light wont light up help....
i need help bad... cause my dash light and my gauge light wont light up. the only thing that lights up is the radio and clock. i think it has something to do with the dimmer switch of the gauge cause one day it just popped real loud and smoke started to come out of it. i replaced it with another dimmer switch just incase the old one was fried or something. fuses is still good and everything like that. but i have no clue what is wrong any help would be really appriciated
Not much you can do, other than open the dash and check each wire in sequence for the appropriate voltages written in the shop manual.
Switches like that dont "pop" and start smoking for no reason....it was most likely a current surge that caused it....allthought I have no idea why your fuse didnt blow when this occured....please post more info on this "explosion"

the fuse did blow and i replaced it. there seems to be power coming from each wire cause we tested each wire to see if there was power coming from it. how hard is it to open the dash up and check each wire and how long does it take
same thing happened to my brother, fuse blew and all 3 dash lights went out. i replaced them but still a no go, climate control lights dont go on either....still havent found a solution. let me know if you get if fixed
I had the same problem, sort of...
After i installed my stereo, i went to visit a couple of friends at Hooters, and after dinner when i started my car, my lights wouldnt come on. but it was just the dash, stereo light and i think that was it. turns out that when i put in my stereo, i left a few wires haning around, so i covered all the left over wires (previous owner put in a crappy stereo and did a bad job installing) with electrical tape, and put in a new fuse. good as new. also be sure to put in the right fuse, if you put in a higher number, i think it would keep blowing.

If you put in a bigger fuse, then maybe next time the wire will burn instead of the fuse.
