Default Hi TurboR616

Wasupp man.. I am still running obd1 on my car and putting 430hp@wheel.. Only problem is the power is not clean.. Car sputters and just goes, happens 3rd gear and up.. I am using 12.1 fmu with fields vtec controller with 370rc's... How is the power delivery on the hondata?? I am thinking bout it since you seem very happy about the results.. Please shed some light on this topic..

I'm sure with a Hondata you'll pick up probably 40 more horsepower. Talk to Vapor Trail he has worked alot with them. he's located in Tampa. and he's gotta dyno so he can tune your car! think bout it.

Why don't you have your boy John Brown fix the sputterin problem. O yea that's right he's got your all your money now and now he's no where to be found!

With your level of mods you definitely need a stand alone engine management system.

I think you might be running to rich. You are using RC 370's with a 12:1 rise rate. I dont know how much boost you are running, but I can tell you that if you are running 8+psi then you are drowning the motor with fuel. That would be why your car is "sputtering".

HAAAAA.. NO noo, John didn't give me any problems... He has done a great job and I am very satisfied with his work.. We were going to resolve this problem , but wanted to ask folks with the standalone.. I guess , hondata seems to be the favorite...

Hey man... sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.... havent been checking the boardz lately. i remember your graph ... it seemed like the power curve was very "interesting" to say the least. Without a doubt you will be making more power and getting it smoother with the hondata.... i dont see how your fuel setup is capable of making anywhere near 430hp reliably. Even when i was using a 12:1 and my stock injectors i wasnt too happy with the drivablility of the car.. im guessing your problems are an amplified version of my old one.

Car is running very nice.. Like I said, I am using greddy profec B with fields fuel controller and it is hard to setup low boost and high boost settings. John tuned the car on high boost that is from 17-24psi and when I run on low boost ,it runs really rich but when I put some c16 and boost high , car pulls like u won't believe. It is just that low boost runs soo rich that under boost, it sputters.. This is where standalone comes handy, u can actually tune the car and the computer can read low and high boost and adjust by itself. Let me know if u coming down here for NIRA ( MOROSO) SEP 29. I am running that class with authority.. Lata bro

it would be practically impossible to run 430 to the wheel with 370's on your set up and not blow up. i'm running your set up basically with 350 to the wheel on rc 440's. i know what you mean about running rich at low boost. thats why i run c16 at all times and run high boost daily. its more fun that way. really though, vortech makes a bleeder valve for their 12:1 that works great and if john brown isn't familiar with it, have him call john lee at inline pro and ask him about it. they are friends and talk to each other frequently. hell, i just bought part of the castrol cars set up from him.
