Nor Cali's please look?
I was thinking that we need to get a major company to start a import race series that runs in the Nor-Cal area only. Maybe run a total of 6 races a year but the problem I see with this is where are you going to run because you don't want them all at Sonoma even though it's a great. I was also thinking of which classes would you need.
Pro-All Motor(Heads Up)
Pro-Adder(Heads Up)
Street-All Motor(Heads Up)
Street-Adder(Heads Up)
Bracket 1-13.99 and faster
Bracket 2-14.00 and slower
Payout's would be $1000 winner $500 runner up in Pro's and $500 winner $250 runner up for the rest. That's a total payout of $6,000 per event not much but still worth racing for. I figure $55 for a two day pass and $35 for just Sunday(Brackets Only).
Any help or suggestions would be great. Need ideas for tracks?

well it sounds like a good idea but i think you should split it up between sac and infineon. Also you would have to put into the equation, how much is it gonna cost to rent the track and officials for two day? I guesstamated that the net profit would be 32k. But you still have to rent the track and officials, fire crew, concessions.
you should hit up some of the major companies in cali. There's comptech in rancho. Or even like, STR, matrix, summit, ie. Sonoma might have space available since there not runnin any sport compacts there this year
Yeah I need to iron out more of the details before I go to one of the big company's with this but I've got a start at it. I guess even if it was just a west coast series say 10 to 12 races with 4-6 up here would be great. I just want to make sure that this state keeps import races comin up here because I love racing and don't want to have to stop just because I can't afford to travel to L.A for every race. I'm really going to try and get something together for us in Nor-Cal and Cali in general.
get dvs to try and sponsor a drag racing "league", it would be a good time for them to get out and show off shoes and crap, just an idea
but hell ya there needs to be some good racing in nor cal

Thanks I would like to have company's like that have a chance to help with partial sponsorship of the series to help sell there product and get us some good racing. I'm going to try my best to get something together for us no matter what it takes.

Well I just got off with Infineon Raceway and they don't have any weekends open in 2004 except in late December and Sac. won't do it because of there CMI's so I guess I'll have to try and get something together for the 2005 season.

Well right now I'm getting the proposal together and sending it to Bakersfield and to Sac. because now they say if the proposal looks good then maybe so if they both say yes then I'll do one at each. I'll look into Redding does anyone know the name of the track or the number so i can get ahold of them?
