Had my accord dropped and want to know what the noise is :X
I had my 96 accord ex dropped 1.75 in the front and 1.5 in the back. The back seems to be lose or something. When i go over bumps in the road i feel the back and hear a sound like it's lose or something. Is it that it wasn't tightly secured or that i need new shocks for my car? or is it possibly something else? What would this cost me?
Before you do anything swap out your stock shocks for aftermarket ones. Running on lowering springs on stock shocks aren't good and your shocks will eventually blow. So if you have the money get aftermarket shocks first. I've got Tokico shocks and springs. The Tokico blues are good, and also Koni reds and yellows.
if i go to a honda dealer and have them to put in new shocks for me...can i request a differnt make or would they put the exact same ones in there? does honda make a lower shock that i could put in my car?

the noise is most likly the rubber cover on the cap was removed...no big deal...and i am still on my stock struts with a 2.25 drop...for about 6 months and they have not blown out yet...but if u have the money get new struts like the kyb agx, koni, or tokico are all good shocks for a lowered car...and most honda dealers can not get that stuff but will install it for u!

you may want to steer clear of kyb agx if you lower your car more than 1.5", i heard they're not waranteed for anything lower.

i have AGX's with a 2.25 drop which cause my from upper A arms to rub in my fender wells, sooooo i dont understand whats rubbing on the rear of your car.
The AGX's are fine for 2.5 in drops but nothing lower.

2 washers should do it.
The general rule is 1 washer for every inch of camber it would be off, 2" drop would be close to 2 degrees neg. camber.
ALSO, about the noise, mine is noisy as well. I have eibach sportlines w/ koni sports (yellows). I think it may be the progressive coils on my springs slapping together, the metal dust boot, or perhaps its something to do with my bumpstops not being cut. I'm too lazy to care, but I'll eventually get to it.

yah, they're not warrantied but they hold up with more than a 1.5 in. drop, if your **** is slammed then you might have a program, and that's basically the reason for that provision.
i think this problem is just the coils of the springs slapping together though, it's the same with my car and i explored every other possible cause before i came to that conclusion, if it's a progressive design than i'm almost positive thats the problem and there's really nothing you can do about it.
i heard you could wrap the upper coils to prevent it, but i dont think that solution would last too long.
