Default VSS effect engine tune ?

Car's speedo cable isn't hooked up, but the question is, will the VSS effect the cars tune at all ?

Why do Civic/CRXs even have a VSS ?

Well I know that if your car is VTEC equipped, you will need to have the VSS hooked up. I'm sure it helps the ecu with determining fuel injection and/or ignition timing.

Yes, I just learned tonight that the vss plays a pretty important role. It will add load under suddon throttle removal (braking) so car does not stall. It allso changes your rolling idle, notice that when you are rolling the idle is up around 1000, and when you stop it comes to a rest around 700 rpm.
