engine is an EJ22b, which came out of an STi from the UK. Bored out, custom low compression JE pistons, knife-edged and micropolished crank shaft, undersquirt oilers. ported and polished 2.5RS heads with custom cam's. turbo is a t3/04e running ~ 9psi until the engine is completeley broken in, after that the boost level will be raised quite a bit. STI six speed tranny is going in within the next couple of months, but its running a stock tranny for now with a clutchmasters stage 4 setup. Tein full coilovers, sti brakes, motormounts, sway bars and STi seats. RC injectors, walbro fuel pump, aeromotive FPR, and a vortech FMU. thats all the mods i can remember right now. i THINK the compression ratio is around 8-8.5:1, and the motor was built in hopes of running 1bar daily, and ~18-20psi at the track. no dyno or 1/4mi numbers because the engine is BRAND new basically and only has ~200 miles on it.

And what STi could it come out of? There is only one STi, that came with a 2.2L and that's the STi 22B, and being there were only 425 built, there is next to no way you could have one of those engines.... EJ22T out of a turbo legacy, sure but no way the other way around.

I see many a difference between the two engines...

Doesn't matter to me, just wrong info is bad. Also, the 22B, 2.2L does not have oil squirters, the EJ22T out of the 91-94 Legacy Turbos did have it. And EJ22T blocks are a dime a dozen and can still get them as crate motors. The 22B 2.2L isn't quite that easy, since it's a limited car you have to have proof that you own one. I also need to find out what is actually stamped on the block, because the 22B were done off factory lines so the original block was an EJ20 and the bored out... anyone want more info?

ok so here are a few more pictures from my friends shop. there are currently two cobra R's that are being turbo'd(just like the one in the november issue of mustang 5.0 that he built), and notice the size of the intecooler -- off of izuzu diesel trucks and he's twin turboing the callaway that is pictured below.
