I want to know how i can tell a trim level of a 92-95 civic h/b.... i know the si has the sohc vtec motor but i want to know by just looking at the outside and not having to look under the hood... someone help..

Size of the rims?

 

Si's have sunroofs, CX's don't have any side molding, and VX's have 13" alloys that kinda look like HX rims. But of course all these things are variables, e.g. someone could have taken off the side moldings or put VX rims on a DX. HTH.

92-95 SI's have a sunroof and the mirrors and licsense plate frame are painted instead of black and all SI's had 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS as an option as aposed to the EX coupe which only had 4 wheel disc brakes on the ABS versions the non ABS versions were rear drums

92 and 93 CX's had side molding but no passenger mirror, 94 and 95 had no side moldings and both driver and passenger mirrors and there will be an A/C cooler next to the radiator because CX's had AC and rear drums

DX's had side molding and no AC and rear drums

Nothing but the SI and EX had a sunroof

 

my cx doesn't have side molding, and it does have a passenger mirror

Maybe it was 92 only but I know some CX's had side moldings and no passenger mirror

 

My 92 CX has the 1.5L 16V engine, both side mirrors, side moldings, color matched everything, sunroof and 14" rims.

Unfortunately, it also has no A/C, no rear wiper, and vinyl interior.
