MAACO high end paint job?
Ive heard a lot about MAACO jobs and from what Ive heard its only people paying for the paint/clear mixed and anything above that knowone has been experiencing any problems. All I care about is that the paint doesnt chip.
What kind of stuff do they offer for more money? Im looking to get my car painted silver and the jams and hood are already silver so they dont need to be done. Wont need any body work and I can sand it myself so they will be primerring and painting. Im looking to borrow around or less than a grand for the paint because I dont want a multi colour car even in the winter.
I have a body kit and a wing and a hood that might need some extra care. Dunno if it makes a dif.
I searched and found nothing on the high end jobs...

it might be just me, but I wouldnt give MAACO more than 200 bucks to paint a car. if you are really going to be spending 1k, your better off taking it to a real body shop. no way I would trust MAACO with 1K.
Im sure if I would throw 800-1000 on a job that it would come with a warranty against chipping. Im just looking for a light silver and dont need jams or engine bay so I thought they would be able to do some high qulaity shiat for that money if not even less
if you really want to do it right mask off your car (except front windshield)
buy your own paint and primer (ppg dbc)
do your own bodywork
sand the car yourself obviuosly..
the only thing that sucks is it would be nice to primer the car yourself. a lot of times there can be small scratches in the primer from scratches from body work and you need to sand down and have the primer fill in the scratches then reprimer the areas. maaco most likely wont do that.
anyway good luck. make sure the clear is sprayed right, thats the most improtant thing

how can you not find the fenders. go to the place you shipped them from and get the tracking number, give it to me and thats it ill find them. purolator said to go get the number.
as for the ones i sent you they are at ups. they said you refused them twice and they call me every day telling they still have them and have to do something with them. so you just have to call ups and ask them what to do.
but please go find the tracking number for the ones you sent me. i need them bad so i can finish putting my kit on right.

I no there are a **** load of maaco threads but none told me ( I read 2 full pages of threads) about the hig end quality jobs that they do and how much they cost and if they cost more for kits/hood/wings/etc. And maybe a chart or something of different jobs they do. All were on the shitty 100-300 jobs.
thats the color my car is now and I really dont to give maaco a chance to get at the interior of my car. I really love silver and would love to keep it some form of lighter silver.
I dont even know if we have Maaco's up here in canada

My friend just got a job at Maaco. His first day taping they told him that he shouldn't try and be so accurate and perfect with it, its too much of a hassle, and just slap it together real quick. They'd rather have him tape 15 cars a day and do a bad job than do 5 cars and do a perfect job. So
on them.
on them.
