ECHC videos
I'm going to start posting up some various videos of the '03 season from beaver run, VIR and summit (nov1/2) in this post. I'm going to run out of space real fast, so I'm either going to have to pay off we-todd-did, or maybe someone has some space to host.
Anyway, here's the first video. In car from Bookler's car during Saturday's race after the restart this past weekend at summit. The Battle for H2.
Save as please, somewhere around 12mb. Also, it's a .mov, so hopefully you have quicktime. I'll start uploading .mpegs if quicktime is a problem.

I can't see it yet, but if it what I think it is, it is the restart on Saturday. It should start with me letting Jason by in turn 1, then all hell breaking loose in front of me.

It's a '93 Civic Si with a B18C5 in it. The transition from low cam to high cam is VERY dramatic in that car, probably from the cam, but also from the lack of tuning. Hopefully the crew from NRG Tech can smooth that out for me over the winter. The other problem is that the tire size messed up my gearing, so I spent more time in the low cam setting than I should have... All of that will be taken care of by 2004 though!

He was under braking. The right wheel had traction, the left wheel didn't - so the wheel with braking pulled the car violently in that direction. It happens quite often on the track.

It was a good moment I needed to get away from Matt so I gambled with the pass on the inside of the chute. Then I saw the car I was passing, he probably paid as much for the car as our entry fee, I layed back and glad I did.

man, do i remember that! i got shafted, and bookler got a gift! ah well, thats racing!
bookler was horsing me down the straightaway, so i would move to the inside approaching turn 1 to protect. this particular lap, we came up on some slower traffic. on the exit of turn 2, i think the slower RX-7 looked up and saw Bookler on his Six. he moved over to let him by, and effectively blocked me up good. i tried to slip over in the middle (see vid!) but couldn't do it safely and take turn 3 at that speed. after that, it was all chasing bookler around, gaining ground in the brake zones, turns 3, 4, and into 5, and 10. losing serious ground in the carousel, 1, 2, and down the front straight. final dash to the checker was still close, but no way i could pull out of 10 and to the finish line to get him....
one of the best races i have driven, and my best ever performance at Summit Point. 1:28.5 for me there is the best i have ever driven....
