i have a 92 civic
and well it has been feeling low on power
but when i was driving i came to a stop
and it jus turned off
then it wouldnt turn back on
sooo i parked it and went to get some hep to push it home
and i came back and it just started
i posted earlier about troublew starting
and someone said i might hjave a blown head gasket
how bad is this???? what can i do???

 

That sounds like it could also be the alternator

 

i was afraid of that
... it is putting out 14.4 volts is that low???

 

no thats not low at all. i wouldnt think it is your alternator if it started later. have you noticed any white smoke out of you exhaust or your car running a little too hot?

 

yea, not too often.. but sometimes on a cold start there will be white smoke for about 5 min, then back to normal
but my car doesnt run hot... i thought that weird, because i searched head gaskets and that was always a problem
and then black soot or something is coming out of my exhaust too
because my dad parks behind me sometimes and there is a black spot on his frpont bumber and the back of mine where my exhaust is
