Default CTR cluster question....(searched already)

I just installed a CTR cluster into my 2000 DX hatch and everything works perfectly EXCEPT for the dimmer switch. I used to have the EG6 SiR cluster in my 92 SI and the dimmer didn't work either. Anyone has the same problem?

I've got the JDM EK4 SiR cluster in mine and my dimmer doesn't work either.

I don't mind checking the wires and all, just want to make sure it's not a known problem with CTR clusters because i know with the EGs, there is no way in getting the dimmer to work with a JDM SiR cluster.

there is no dimmer swtiches on jdm cars, so your usdm dimmer wont dim the jdm clusters. they dont dim. period

Yup what he said. I'm sure you could rig something up, but they don't work without a little extra wiring.

dimmer doesn't work because there is no dimmer.

I am not sure about the CTR cluster but I removed the dimmer potentiometer from my USDM del sol cluster and installed it to work on my JDM Del Sol cluster. There is not way to adjust it because it sits behind the cluster, but you can make it bright and leave it that way.

There is something fishy with it. I think the guy that I bought it from used a usdm backing or something. I was a little bit suprised when I noticed it worked.

that's what I did with my EG2 cluster... but I had to zip tie the potentiometer to the rear of the cluster since there is no hole for the **** through the cluster.
