exhaust rattle !!!
Ok i installed my header about ayear ago (cheapy out of summit racing catalog) and now everyti,e my engine is decelerating there is a horrible ratteling sound, hte heat sheild from my cat. convertor has been removed and I just replaced the donut gasket etween the downpipe and cat. any suggestions?
Mine did that ****, but the problem was the lower heatshield of my cat, so I just ripped the ******* thing off. But you said you did that already, so I don't know. Time for a new exhaust maybe?
there is one ABOVE my cat. but it dosent seem to be rattling, thaht may be my prob i'm gonna check into that one, my exhaust setup is pretty new the header then the stock cat. the n 2.5 all the way back to my ebay fart cannon.
That one on the top could be hitting your shift linkage maybe. Id rip that joker off as well, but then your shifter may get hot if you have a metal ****.

I would say its your heatshield..........my brothers car did the same thing and i eventually just ripped the damn thing off. Lift the car and have someone play with the thottle while your under there and see if you cant find your vibrations somewhere. Someone said above about bolts being loose, that could be a possibility as well.
