Default 1992-1995 Prelude Si-- Auto to Manual conversion ( q's )

I really dont want to buy an auto. But it's pretty cheap. 1500 for a Prelude Si ( By the way this isnt' Dream, this is his roomate like always ). Bad thing is that the Prelude has like 196,000 on the motor (h23 I think ). I want to do a manual conversion but I dont know what I need for that.

Got a list? Is it even worth it?

I would search around for another 5spd Prelude. I know there is one near me that is a 92 with 189K miles. Looks like it has had the major service done on it too for $1500.

Look outside of your town.

Doing the conversion is expensive and a long process.

Good luck.

i would just look into getting an h22 swap that comes w/ the tranny
you will also need shift linkages and msybe a tranny mount, not sure though
on that there's a few other things you will probably need
it's a 4th gen prelude, it's worth it

Yeah. I think those are both good ideas. I'll do a search for outside areas then and see what I come up with.

Push comes to shove, i'll be driving another Civic but a hatch this time and turbo charge. =\ Im so tired of Civics though.

Price depends on what parts you get and whether they are new ones or used brand name or not etc. It doesn't take long a day or two if you know what you're doing. Give me you email and I'll send you the parts list and procedure in a word file attachment. Mike

I just got doen doing my auto to manual swap on my h22. If you want email me and I can send you a list of parts needed to complete the swap and a write up of how to do it. I did mine under $800 and it took me about 2 weeks wroking off and on. I had to figure somethings out but it is very doable and well worth it.

h23, not h22 sorry. I have both cars and I get them all backwards.
