Will H4 bulbs fit in H4H headlights?

I also got my HID 9006 set up to work in the SIR housings. To adjust the beam, there is a screw on the rear of the headlight bucket on the outside and there is another screw on the inner end of the headlight. By "outside" i mean near the corner light and by "inside" i mean closest to the radiator cap. basically just look on the back of the housings and look for a total of two screws, one on each end, and turn them and you'll see how it works.

H4's will fit into H4H's just takes some cutting to do and they work just fine.
Also you can get HID into H4H's you just need to do some cutting.

I'm confused now. Some people are saying you can fit the H4 bulb with no mods, some say you need to do a bit of filing to fit it.

You ppl can use the HID kit for the 9006 housings and they work fine. Its what i did with my SIR housings and the lighting is excellent.

This is going to need some proof. Without mods like gluing in a big piece of plastic I don't think this can be done. The H4H leaves a BIG hole in the housing if you remove it. The 9006 can be moddified to fit a USDM housing with a little dremel action, but I can't see how in the world it would come close to fitting an H4H hole.

I have no clue how to post pics (plus my car is getting painted right now) but i definitely got them to work. I am very meticulous when it comes to my car so i really didnt want to make it too ghetto of an install. But i did want to reuse the 9006 HID kit because i had them already for my USDM housings and i wasnt going to buy HID's again. What i did was trim the 3 small little legs (i guess u can call them that) on the bulb itself (the legs on the HID bulbs are made of a hard plastic and they trim off very easily). I trimmed them off to get them to sit more inside the JDM bulb housings. From what i remember the legs on the 9006 lights are used to keep the bulb in place on the 9006 housings. If u dont trim those off the bulb itself, then yes it will not fit in the JDM housings. U must also remember that the regular halogen bulb DOES NOT physically look the same as the HID 9006 bulb, so dont try experimenting by trimming to fit the halogen bulb to the JDM housing. The HID bulb is also shaped in a way that it makes it easier to fit the JDM housing. I even reused the rubber bulb cover to keep dust/dirt/moisture out of the housings. About the beams, i had adjusted them PERFECTLY so they distribute light evenly and level. BTW i had to adjust the housings more downward due to the fact that the HIDS are really bright. If someone wants, i can email the pics to whoever and they can post them for me, but i have to wait to get my car back. Let me know who wants to do it, if anyone. I hope i shedded some kind of light on this subject to help you doubters out there understand the how-to.
