my axle snapped!
thats the chances you take with manufactured axels from autozone.
i had one snap before in a short period of time. i still use az axels because theyre
lifetime warranty and 24/7 works for me

what type of clutch do you have? where did the axel snap? ive never had a problem with axels in any of my cars, or customers cars ive driven.. all of them are on stock Honda/Acura axels too. ive done many second gear burnouts on slicks and street tires. on our H22 Civic/Integra swaps we use 89 integra axles with Prelude inner cups, all from Kragen! work great. good luck with you next one.

well, i have had decent luck with oem, but Raxles IMSA axle is the only axle that has stayed in my car longer than 10 autocrosses. this is a pic of the last oem axle my car had in it....
bear in mind, i am not a drag racer and break my axles at 30mph or more. i only have 186whp. i am not snapping the axle shaft, i am wasting outer cv's. i have broken 3 DSS axles before giving up with them. they may have stong axle shafts, but their cv's they use are junk. the outers blow apart like stock, and the inners cause a wicked vibration. i don't care about warranty, i just don't want to have to swap axles in the middle of a national event. i have researched basically 99% of the axles out there that are made for our cars. the discount stores refurbish some serious garbage. stuff that doesn't even stay in my sister's stock automatic dx. every once in a while you get a good one, but not good enough for my car. in conclusion, Raxles gets a

but, taking them back week after week becomes a chore. i would rather spend a little more and have a good axle in the car that i do not have to repeatedly remove and replace... jmho

well yea. Another question you might want to ask is "why are you breaking an axle every week?" Unless you have a crazy high hp monster turbo motor i dont see how you could be breaking axles that fast.
I have a friend (Cortney ie UglyAssCivic) he put down 608whp, uses stock GSR axles, and has over 40 passes on the track (on the current setup). He has the stock nonLSD diff and runs 25" slicks. He hasnt broken an axle yet.

I'va had my autozone axles for about 8 months now and no problems yet... My clutch on the other hand didnt even last a month after i replaced it ....
i broke an oem axle with my all motor z6 that prolly dont have more than 100 footpounds tq. autozone for 69 bucks was a lifesaver, and if it breaks- lifetime warranty man.
plus now that i know exactly how to change one it should only take a half hour or so if i break another one

Why do you need that much clutch?
I had my axle snapped on my 9o integra with only I/H/E and it was slammed all the way to the ground
and bad struts on all four it had really bad neg camber on the front and it was a 1st to 2nd shift when it snapped
