throw out bearing?

Default throw out bearing?

whats up guys? well im pickin up an ACT cluctch and pressure plate from a friend but he doesnt have the throw out bearing. can i just get that at an auto part store or is it something i have to special order?

Might be able to reuse your old one if it's not in too bad shape. Just clean it up good. I used BSB bearing cleaner that I got for my rollerblades to clean them, actually worked really well. I heard you can just use lithium (white) grease to relube it.

If your old ones suck though, dropping the tranny again is a lot of work just to replace it, so you might be better off going new the first time around.

Just go to Honda and get a new one-I believe they're under $20, better to do it right this time around than to replace it down the road.

unless... he could have a big desire to pull it all apart again because it's a fun thing to do on Saturday nights.
