go to europe or japan and you may run into one sooner or later with vtec from the factory. when you do, see how much they want for it and call me.

my bad, i shouldnt have been smart. you guys are right. to answer your question:

in the usa, No. no crx's in the us came witha VTEC motor from the factory.

in japan the SiR's came with b16a and so did the VTEC models in europe (forgot the badge; VT?)

anywayz, despite the lack of an optional vtec motor from the factory in the USA, you will see quite a few 4th gen civics and 2nd crx (among other hondas) with swapped in vtec motors (i have one). its a great thing to do if your interested in making your crx faster and more fun to drive, and its not very difficult either.

Do you both have operating hands? Are you capable of hitting that little button in the upper right corner labeled "search?

I'm not backing down. If you don't have enough sense to search, and/or research a car, then you deserve a flame or two.

Either way, you two should head back over to A/C and post about your m4d t1t3 r1d3s y0!!

this is a sight set up to help people am i right?, i am tired of people who think they are car gods, and to good to help out even on the small questions. if you think the question is stupid then do not reply to it, simple as that. but do not put someone down for trying to learn something, because that is how we all start out.

he was just telling you to use search. so if you didn't know that now you do. and chances are if you use search and to not find the answer then it is not a stupid question therefor you will probably not get flamed.

so you learned 2 things about this post

1.) stock usdm crx si's or any for that matter are not vtec
2.) use the search before you make your post.

search will save you time because you don't have to wait for replies and you will have some information on the subject for when you do decide to post.
