you will need:
-oil/water lines
-charge piping
-intercooler(off a 2g talon or similar)
-turbo adapter plate
-manifold(chopped up std)
-fuel management(fuel pressure reg/inline pump, etc)

thats all i can think of off the top of my head! i am in the process of doing the same thing to my d16y7! if u get a used turbo off a talon, the wastegate is set at 7-8 psi, perfect for stock internals.

I'm putting that same turbo on the same engine in about a week. I don't know how it will respond. Seems like it will work fine but the compressor seems pretty small. and ya you'll all that other stuff or equivlant

that ebay kit is ghetto, im not a huge fan of the cx turbo manifolds, just buy a custom manifold so u can have a exturnal wasteagate and get like a T3 turbo, u will be happy with it on your D Series.

Well he already said he didnt buy it. THe turbo looked good and to be honest, from experiencing a JY turbo, that stuff that was posted didnt look bad at all. No you couldn't really tell from a picture of the stuff worked but taking a chance, when that VAFC is well worth more than 200 ALONE..or at least 150.. you could have bought it. Oh well it's over now.

Im sure you've done research. Just keep doing it. I'm sad that I had to sell my setup for 625..and it was done. Just needed to be put in. sad sad.

so that turbo up there will be a good deal? I have done a little research on turbos for my D16. I have heard that the used talon turbos are good (dont know what kind) and that the T3's are good and the T4's are too, but they are bigger.. which should I get? are they the same?

IMO the best bet for us SOHC's would be a T3 .60 A/R .48trim with external wastegate (a tial 38mm would be best, but for cost wise a turbonetics will suffice) you can also get a log-style manifold and not need an adapter plate because most turbo hybrids are t3/t4. Also too, you likely will be able to keep your a/c with most of the log manifolds. --you'll then need all the other necessary parts to complete the turbo setup like charge pipes, intercooler, oil lines (coolant lines in some cases), ignition and fuel upgrades, wastegate, blow off valve, intake w/ filter, downpipe (can use 3" with lovefab.com sidewinder), exhaust, clutch, and then a rag to wipe the big *** smile off your face when you make your first "kill".
keep reading the H-T threads, knowledge makes power.

if you dont plan to build your motor go with the t25/t28 setup. safe and it'll spool quick.

if not, go with a t3/t4 kit. but you gotta be careful and you'll be better off buying a kit IMO.
