Stage 2 NOS??? Never heard of it.

Anyways, if you plan on installing any kind on Nitrous setup, plan on these items.

1- Upgrade the fuel pump 190/255 lph intank or add on inline pump
2- Get some kind of timing retard unit (works when NOS is used)
3- Use colder plugs 7's 8's 9's whatever
4- Use higher octane fuel 92+
5- Get a RPM window or cut off switch to shut the NOS down at the higher RPM's
6- Drive with caution.

Happy squeezing.

What is a timing retard unit and what does it do?
Does that RPM window cost a lot... I heard about that and that is what I was thinking of finding out more about cause I have heard of people just poping their engines with that button system - don't want too do that cause this is my only car and I need to have it running all year round.

Do you know of anywhere I can find where people are selling used kits?

Have you done any research other than comming here and asking? because your playing with fire, and if you dont know it well, it'll burn ya.

Anyway, for prices, there's a whole slew of part sources.......like the sponsors on this board for instance... ..

used kits, try thepartstrader.com or the classifieds on this board.

the timing retard (though im not familiar with nitrous), is used to retard the timing in the engine to help prevent detonation which is porbably the worst thing that could happen, and it's very very bad.

I urge you to not jump in blindly, because it appears to me a lot of people are modding their cars and dont know what they are doing, and ending up with a lot of grief and and empty wallet....so do it right and take your time
You want to have it run year round and be ultra reliable, then you BETTER do it right, take your time dont rush in, research dont listen to what ONE or two peopel tell you, gather the info and use your mind to decipher what is true and what is not...lots of people have misconception...until then, leave it stock...because you mess somthing up because it's cheaper , it's gonna cost you multiple times later on.

With that said

I wish you luck, and this board will definetly be a useful one...nitrous can be relatively reliable, when done right.
Most importantly with all that potential power, DONT BE STUPID.
