Can Grouding your car be bad
iv heard alot of ppl regrounding there car...can it do any harm to just replace the wires with thicker gauge? will it affect anything? for example i ground from my vavle cover to my fender wall so fourth...thanks
grouNd...the word your looking for is grouNding. grouding is like whats in your bathroom, inbetween tiles...infact, i think thats grout. but anyways, to answer your question...i'm relly not sure.

No it won't hurt anything, as long as you're very careful to be very precise when you reconnect it to grounding points.

lots of dynos that I have seen actually suggest that it'll not only smooth out your idle (assuming that the stock grounding system isn't as good as it should have been - which from looking at my stock grounding ...wow, it sucks).....and it can also give small gains in low end power - probably mostly to reduced stress on the alternator, more power to the ignition system, and all kinds of stupid little things.
Anyhow, to answer your question....no, there is absolutely no negative side, just so long as you don't ground something to a + wire ;o)

yeah, what these guys said. i picked up thicker gauge @ home depot when i was relocating my batt. to the trunk. just make sure you've sanded the area down real good where you're grounding.
