Default pic of JDM ITR wheel in 94 Si hatch... for those curious

When I was debating buying this wheel I searched for a pic of it in an EG but couldn't find any. So here you go.

FYI, the SRS plug was different on the ITR wheel than on the EG wheel. A simple solution is to swap the plugs. Honda was nice enough to use the same pins so swaping plugs is easy. Other than that there were no complications. The horn works but you loose CC if you have it.

Peace

That looks pretty good. Is it any bigger/smaller than the stock EG wheel? Also, was it even worth is spending the time and money to switch over to the ITR wheel?

It's nearly 3/4" smaller than the stock wheel and hell yeah it was worth it. The wheel is thicker and better feeling so you get a sense that the car is better... if you know what I mean.

A side benefit that I would have never thought of is that the ITR wheel is much lighter and this results in better feedback from the wheels. I would do it again if I had to. No buyers remorse on this one that's for sure. I can't wait to auto-x it this weekend. The car feels more nimble and the steering feels quicker.

Looks good, I would still go with a smaller wheel and quick release hub.

Who needs airbags?

Nope. Turn signals, horn and all work fine.

I like airbags just because I drive in Atlanta everyday. People die in their cars here on the hour.

Another plus is how stealth this wheel is. When I came by last night I almost asked when you were going to put on your new wheel Matt. Then I saw that you already had. I thought they were more expensive than that. Good buy for sure.

So this wheel has the SRS airbag still in it correct? Looks very nice, I might have to replace my wheel in the future because my steering wheel material is start to crack on top....

That looks really nice, I want a new wheel for my hatch, but like you said I really didn't want to loose my airbag. Good post.

You'd have to get the CTR wheel which looks almost the same for it to work. The CTR is an EK and the EK's have a different hub type.

Thanks btw.

Great Pix! Congrats! I'm getting a CTR Steering wheel on the next shipment. Where's the rest of the car pix?
