If you plan to go Hondata later, get an OBD 1 ecu with a jumperharness from boomslang or one of the other guys on the board. The ecu can be had anywhere.
check my sig... i have a obd1 ecu for sale.. all you need is a harness as jdmspoon stated.
I also have a stock itr ecu w/ immobilizer bypassed that is up for sale.

Some cheap solutions already offered in the thread! Excellent.
I can recommend Hondata from personal experience. It is infinitely programmable and is an integral part of why my ITR has been doing so well. The bad news is that even the cheap version isn't really "cheap" and you will also need to invest time in tuning it with a good tuner. I can recommend someone on the east coat.
I think the Kenji ECU would be good too. You should talk to Kenji personally so that you will understand the couple of small foibles involved with his ECU. I think he still requires that you unplug the EVAP so that you don't get a surging idle.

i would suggest p28 chip ecu with no red line, no government! you can drive fast as long as you want!
i got p28 on my car and it works pretty damn good!
yeah you need a jumper harness cause mine is a obd2
