Help Stinky!!!
Ok can anyone help me. my car smell's cuz their was mad f ing water on the carpet and on the chair. When i came back from the hospital cuz i was internally bleeding. i opened my car and it start to smell, cuz the odor was coming from the bottom of the passager side and the rear seats. i touched it and it was soaking wet. What do you guy'z recommend to fix this odor problem. some stupid person left my window open and it had rained. i was in the hospital for 5 day's so it had time to soak in. i try to take out my passager side seat and blow dry the floor and rear seatm, but it still smells. i try auto frebreeze but that don't work. i need help. i can't stand the smell.
well, i have done this in another car and it will dry the **** out, but the smell is something you have to deal with for a bit...on to the solution(maybe?): a little heater (portable) inside the car overnight and see what happens.
Make sure you leave windows open and the what not so you are letting that heat go away, but not much otherwise, you won't make the heater do its job.
I can't think of anything else.
Good luck.

sorry, perhaps leaving the window closed would have saved you some headaches, don't you think?

With the floor wet, there is a lot of condensation in the car, especially at night when it is cold. These are perfect conditions for MOLD to grow. So you should try to dry it up as soon as possible. I had a similar problem because the lip at the bottom of my windshield was not against my window due to a front end fender bender. Rain rolled down my windshield into my car and all over my carpet. My carpet was literally dripping wet and smelled GREAT! (jk) I dried it with towels then hit it up with a little vacuum. Then I kept the windows cracked for a couple days. Throw a pine tree in there and some vent fresheners. You should be straight after that.
they have some air freshner bead things that soak up moisture i would throw two bottles on the carpet and on the seats and leave the windows open overnight so at least the smell and moisture could get a chance to evaporate, would be better if you could put a heater inside the car overnight too so the water evaporates faster...if you dont mind a lil work you might want to consider taking the seats out and drying everything with a towel that is under the carpet because the water down there will make it mold, so you might end up with mold between the carpet and body...easier said than done but good luck
lol naw..... what you do is take a cookie sheet, set it on the back seat, and then put the little portable heater on it. Run an extention cord, and bingo, you're done. My parents do this with the cars in the winter so they are damn nice to hop into in the mornings, and the windows are already clear for you

Had the same problem in a previous car.... What I did was buy a bottle of carpet shampoo. Something that says deodorizer. Yeah your cars going to smell like a baby for a few days...
Pour the stuff onto the carpet (mixed with water as directed) then with a wet/dry vac suck as much as you can get out of the carpet. Some of the cleaners you have to put more water in to wash it out. But get it as dry as you can with the vacuum. Then dry it Via hair drier/heater. If it was summer I would say park in the sun with your windows up so it got really hot in there then pop the sun roof a little.
