I searched but didnt really find what i was looking for but I burn a bit of oil nothing too bad just when im on it there is a decent cloud behind me. I did a compression check and the numbers were 180/180/170/160 on an h23 with 164K miles. Do you think that the oil problem might be in the last 2 cylinders or in the head? Thanks for your help.

 

h23's w/over 150k tend to burn oil
if you think it's that bad, do a leakdown test
for better results

 

haha yea i know they burn oil but i have a chance to buy a head for cheap with all new valve seats and was just wondering if that would fix the problem.

 

Do the valve seats, can't hurt .. and let us know ... do a leakdown test also and see where the problem resides ..

I'm runnin at 130k miles or so and burn 3 quarts per change ... My head is super noisey so I think rebuilding the head should do it ..

but im savin for vtec swap instead.
