Yea they work, I have done it. Just change the plastic screw plugs for the corner lights to the 90/91 slide in style plugs. and change the wide 88/89 fender moulding to the 90/91.

If you have the old 90/91 fender and you are careful you can get the clips out without breaking them and use them on the 88/89.

I hope you guys dont mind me asking a question related to this topic

so if you were to put these screw plugs from the 90-91 fender on the 88-89 fender then you could use the corner lights from the 90-1 on the 88-9 right?

Yes you can put the nicer 90/91 corners on with the clips but to properly put the corner light on you will need 90/91 headlight bezels due to the top screw on the 90/91 corners. I am sure you could still figure out another way to make it work though.

the front end won't look good though without changing everything, there will be gaps and it won't line up well

I too have a question about this...I bought an '88 CRX Si, the driver's side door has a dent. Can I use a door from a '90 - '91 CRX?

You could use a 89+ door but some parts will need to be swapped and the seatbelts will need to be tooken off the 89+ doors since they are door mounted and yours are piller mounted. I would find a 88 door if I were you since they are lighter due to no seatbelts or safety beam. All 88's and I believe in 89 the hfs still had piller mounts you want.
