Default just some observations of my car...toda reliabilty, daily driving, etc

Well after going out of town for the 4th out of 5 weekends...i have put 3k miles on my car in the last month...might not sound like too much but for someone whos full time in college its not bad at all...my car runs very well and i have had no problems..i have been running the cams since 39k miles and my car now has 46k on it...i also bought the cams used...the whp i put down on my car wasnt what i wanted but i believe that i was because of a few problems...when i went to the exhaust shop..they didnt have a 3" flange (my dc jdm was made out to 3" or so) so the mechanic had to place a pipe inside of it so it could fit the high flow SS cat..which then goes to Tanabe 2.5" piping to the Mugen twinloop...that, the stock intake manifold, and my crankpulley being wobbly (which is being replaced this week) i think is the reason i might be loosing some power..i put down 167/123..what do you think? In conclusion..im just answering some questions people have about reliability with these cams..even though im still running basically stock compression...it's definently very reliable..tuning is probably the key to that...the making 350miles to a tank is just a plus New intake mani, port/polish, compression are all in the future.

I say all those probs, and the lack of compression for those cams to really shine. Get a good 11:5+ and youll be well on ur way

toda spec ... which one ?

Most of the higher ones your gonna need an upgraded valve train and higher comp for maximum performance.

u have a 98 GSR? with all those mods and are only making 167? sounds like somthing up. my friends 00 GSR (all stock, just AEM) made 157/118

definetly get that crank pullet sorted out? u sure its been torqued down corrctly? 1st tighten it to 145 ft lbs. then losen it.. then retighten it to 130 ft lbs.

Tuning of A/F seems to be pretty good. I would just work on your bolt-on's. Heck we made those numbers with bolt-on's. Not to discurage, just letting you know. You have a worked 3" collector w/ a pipe stuck in it (dont' know how leak proof that is) running through a 2.5" cat through 2.36" piping and then a Mugen twin looop muffler. I'd start there with a nice header even a Header-Tech or AN-R street would be a vast improvement with a true 2.5" cat back, T/B and IM would be good as well and re tuning.

humm lets c..first off for toda b's i u def need way more compression...u most likely have about 10:3 now with that mugen headgasket...i say u need at least 11:5 with those cams...if u want to keep the stock intake mani i think its cool..esp with all the nice midrange with those cams...if u get the skunk2 u should def notice some high end power..a lil..and your exhaust flow is def outa wack...jdm dc isnt bad..but that 3" flange then all the other bottlenecks r probably killlin..get a nice full 2.5" with free flowing cat or test pipe...soem more tunning and u should b good...also r u using the toda or power timing belt..if not go get it now!!
