Welp, after the install on Mickey's(typeRyo) Mugen Airbox on thursday night, it turned into a "work on cars all day everyday fest" on friday. The car pulls amazingly hard after the install. After the car is in vtec, its a totally different feeling. Mickey says he cant hear it, but now the Spoon & T1R exhaust combo really have a note. B4 it was all exhaust and now he finally has a sound from the motor again.

When the instructions say "dont take the motor mount out" it really means it. We figured with the way it mounts up there would be a little room. WRONG. There was zero room. Its a very snug fit if you wana say. Cant wait to see the differences on the dyno on Mickeys R

We put the stock R suspension on Mickeys EG hatch, and i was very suprized with it. IMO car handles great. BIG thanx to Len for the extra parts we needed for the suspension swap.

Last night was the funny part. After working on everyones cars, TJ(Skunk2whore), Mickey, and myself installed a set of H&R springs made for a DC2 on my 90 Si hatch. Lets just say i ended up dislocating my right thumb in the process. Once we finally got the springs in the front compressed and got everything on in place we got the car on the road. HUGE difference.

 

Hope the thumb was okay. Sounds like you guys had a shitload of fun.

The nice thing about the Mugen CAI is that it actually has a mellow induction noise - which lets you hear the exhaust sounds of the car more.

 

I have a short ram but would like to get the Mugen

 

Yap is was great. The combo of the new suspension and intake and the header/exhaust from last year is just great. I love it.

Ok here is what I remember from the **** up thumb stuff.
