My car is making a sound like when you rim a glass...I've never heard it before on any other car, but its pretty loud and sounds almost exactly like ******* a glass. It sounds like something is somewhat dry or low on fluids, but my oil is fine. I cant exactly pinpoint the exact spot of the sound and it sends vibrations throughout the transmission and i can feel it on the stick, also somewhat with my feet. Is it possible that i'm low of tranny fluid? I would check but i'm not with my car this weekend and am just hoping that this could be it so i know to check as soon as i get back.

it can be that you are low on tranny fluid, or the tranny itself might be goin bad. also check your wheel bearings and axles.

 

I've heard bearings make that kind of sound as they go bad...and there being several bearings in the transmission and that being a source of vibration...sound like tranny work.

Check the fluid, if it's low top it off and hope for the best but if it's already making noise, it's probably already jacked up.

Then you repair or replace...neither being cheap or easy
