I am building a very turbo h22 hatch right now, hopefully having it running in a couple weeks.

I picked up some MT 22x8x15's as some starter slicks. I am sure I will need more, but i bought these before i decided to get my DSS axles and figured I would practice my civic drag racing at lower boost and work my way up with some smaller slicks that are less likely to promote me breaking things. This is gonna be my first time at the track with a FWD'er that is actually very fast.

what the the quickest 60's and 1/4's people are running on these size slicks?

i have to stay 15" cause the car has 11" brakes.

also, what offset drag wheel would be good to fit these slicks on my eg? I need to make sure i have clearance for my traction rods and what not.

I ran 12.5@108 with a 1.7 60ft with 2600lbs and 250whp in my type R.
I then ran 12.5@110 with a 1.7 60ft with 2600lbs and 250whp in my type R.
I later ran 12.5@114 with a 2.2 60ft with 2400lbs and 280whp in my type R.

 

mine was a 12.018 @ 111.10mph...allmotor h22
my slicks were mt's on rota subzero rims.

 

The best that I have did yet on my MT 22x8x15" was a
1.92 60'
13.86 best ET
98.975 best MPH
Hopefull that will all change this was my first time out with my turbo'd 1992 Sentra SE-R making about 200whp. Not sure on my weight of the car?

once you overpower the 22x8x15, there are plenty of sizes that you can bump up to:
23x8.5x15
24.5x8.5x15
26x8x15

 

My best with 22x8x15 slicks:

11.36 @ 131 with 1.87 60'

 

if i remember hearing mike laskey right i think he told me he broke 9's on 22" slicks.

 

I know Steve from GTR Motorsports with the 88 Golf ran a bunch of 10 sec passes. Maybe Tim can give more detail.

 

a very good friend of mine pulled off an 1.68 60' and ran a best of 11.41 on 22x8x15 in his turbo teg 450+hp

 

I was 11.0 at 125 in the Geo 2 years ago. 1.85 60's

Best 60ft we've pulled is our friend FWD Laser Small 16g, he pulled a 1.60 60ft on a 11.80 @ 115mph run...

The other is a 430whp turbo vr6, best 60ft was a 1.67 60ft and a 10.81 @ 127mph
