Default How long for springs to settle?

I just picked up some new H&R sports, but the drop was definately not what I was expecting... I remember reading something on this board about they have to settle? How long does this usually take?

The springs don't actually settle...they are high-tensile steel, which in no way bends or weakens(settle) They stay the same as the day you installed them. What happens is your old rubber LCA bushings wear and settle quickly due to the pressure/bouncing of the new spring/shock setup. It's the worn bushings that let the car drop further.

its not just the bushings being worn, its also how you tighten them. stock bushings have a "spring" to them, and should be set by tightening them when the suspension is level o nthe ground. you can just take off the wheel and put a jack on the suspension until its off the jackstands to simulate.
