Default I won third place in a car show without even trying.

I went to work today, just like any other day and decided to take the R. When I got there I noticed a large gathering of all type of vehicles across the street around 150 or so. So I went over and it turned out to be a car show. I entered the R even though I had my full size jack, helmet, race ruber and rims in it along with other tools. I just ran it through the carwash real quick, opened the hood and hatch, but kept my doors locked, and went right back to work right across the street. My R was parked where I could see it when ever I looked up. I work for a used car dealer so I had alot of our brochures stuffed between my wipers and my side windows as well. I guess over 200 people, easy took a good look at the R. Other than the outside carwash the car was filthy inside and under the hood. With all the custom interior work and all the TVs everyone had, I was shocked when they called my name for third place. A gutted R with a full rollcage and all my junk that was in it. Who would've thought. They took pics of me holding my trophy standing next to my R. I'm not sure where they will end up.

LOL!

That's cool.

P.S. I'd rather have the SW99 in .45 acp, but nice choice. Just shot a P99 in 9mm a couple weeks ago and was impressed with the design.

You can only get the SW99 in 9mm or .40 cal, but I have a couple of them anyway. It was supose to be a his and hers type of thing but it didn't end up that way. The SW99 just came out with a short version and it looks and feels awsome, but I passed on it. Next step .50 cal Desert Eagle, I just need to find around an extra $1000.

According to Smith & Wesson's Web site the SW99 is available in .45 acp. Haven't seen one in person yet, though.

The .50 AE is impressive, but the new S&W 500 really has me drooling.

The .45 must be rather new, they wern't available when I pick the .40, I'm happy with them though. Very acurate. So to get back to the topic, third place WOW!

That's pretty cool.

I had a similar event happen. The local strip was having a stunna car show/test and tune. I brought the R out to get some times, didn't enter in the show. The car was COMPLETELY covered in pollen and was dirty as crap everywhere. I parked it between runs and instantly had a small crowd that came over. I was asked to pop my hood and got plenty of faces.

Sadly I ended up being I believe the 2nd fastest car of the day (yeah they were that slow). Guess I helped propel the R as the ultimate import even more
