s2k rotors with itr calipers
has anyone got s2k rotors on their standard itr calipers?
is there going to be any problems with the install ?
and do u guys think i will affect the brake balance if i install both front and rear s2k rotors?

um, they won't fit without relocating the calipers. when u move the calipers, the torque lever arm increases which will increase the torque that the caliper will exert on the rotor, even if the pad are is the same. this is not a straight upgrade, it will require a custom machined caliper mount at least ... and yes, it will improve braking performance.
larger rotor = more mas = more heat sinking ability, larger rotors = more rotor area exposed to the air = greater ability to radiate ehat to the air = better cooling, larger rotors = longer torque arm = more force exerted on rotor = more stopping power available.

what's your point? the R calipers use the same pads as the NSX calipers and the overall piston size is the same, so the main difference is the rotor in the NSX caliper package, adn i think everyone that use s them agrees that there is a substantial improvement in overall braking performance. so why would the same not be true of S2K rotors ... ?
i have no experience with NSX calipers.. so if your statement of NSX calipers having no advantage over ITR calipers is true.. and the only advantage is the bigger rotor, then why didn't you just modify your caliper mount like you suggested?
wouldn't that be cheaper than the whole NSX upgrade?

so will the s2k rotors fit
directly without too much adjustment with the stock itr calipers?
and also take into account that i have oem 15"s on which could cause a clearance issue..
thanx guys ..

i know that no matter what, you will need custom brackets made to relocate the calipers. as for the calipers working with the rotors otherwise, if they aren't too thinck (i.e. less than 25mm) they should work. this would basically be the Mugen active gate braking system, except that the S2k rotors mugen supplies have different vents.

No, and if you did you couldnt use 15s either.
