Default Tegs with DSM sidemounts what piping do I need?!!!!!!

I have a 99 ls teg with a greddy kit that im getting ready to install. I have a DSM sidemount intercooler. Can anyone tell me exactly what piping I need to buy? Such as, how many 45 bends, how many 90 bends and what lengths I need. TIA

I'd like to know too, but unfortunatly I haven't seen any tegs on here with SMICs(at least fender mounted) I've only seen one G2 with an SMIC mounted under the hood.

First off why the **** is it ghetto? Im running 6lbs I dont need a huge intercooler. Im in socal and I want to keep it hidden from police and theives. I guess if trying to keep my car, is ghetto then im ghetto.

And I dont mean the OD of the piping I mean the actual lengths I will need.

Just map it out with a coat hanger or something.

If the setup is similar to the SOHC greddy kit as far as piping goes, you shouldn't need anything but the DSM SMIC, and to remove the pipe that connects the compressor outlet to the upper IC pipe.

Wow buddy my bad, didnt mean to strike a nerve or anything. Dont go and kil yourself now. I was just asking why would you choose to go with a DSM one? I dont think they flow too well. The DSM boys tend to go with a supra side mount. Those even flow better then starion intercoolers. Try that. Your not ghetto, your just a little bit frugal.

since many people haven't done this set-up you'll have to measure it up yourself.

it's not hard. figure out where you want it mounted and do a measurement.

I've seen many DSMrs running the stock SMIC well into the 12s so that has to stand for something. there are a few Civics on here using them as well. I will be using a 1g SMIC on my G2 teg...I just had the 1.75 pipes chooped off and rewelded on 2"(Dejontool style) I think it should flow pretty well for a sub 250hp setup(maybe more??)

I would ditch the dsm side mount, and find a supra one. They only go for like 75 bucks. U gotta look though.

Hmmm Ill think about it, the thing is, I wanna get all the parts so I can put the turbo on in one day, I work 7 days a week so I dont have a lot if any down time. So im just trying to plan everything as close as I can to get it all together quickly.

like was said earlier, use a clothes hangar to simulate the various bends, estimate the degrees you'll need and go from there.

heres a ghetto flow test comparing the Supra and 2g Talon SMIC....VERY minimal differences. unfortunately he didn't show the external comparisons

Just look at your car. You need enough piping to go from the turbo to the SMIC, and from the SMIC to the throttle body.

The DSM SMIC will be fine for your setup, it's not a big restriction until you start to make closer to 300 hp.

My car made close to 300 WHP (108 mph traps) with the stock SMIC and even the stock dinky IC piping.
