Default obd1 into obd2 car

alright i purchased a totalled 94lx accord. it had 65,000 miles on the motor so im planning on pulling it out, throwing on a turbo and dropping it into my 97lx. what kinda problems am i going to run into with the obd differences. the new motor has an automatic ecu and my car is manual. am i going to need a manuel obd1 ecu? anything you can tell me will be helpfull since i know nothing about this...

thanks

I thought manuals didn't have an ecu, only automatics.

nice. and to the original poster, prolly best and easiest thing to do would be to find an ecu off a 94 manual at a junkyard or just buy one

find any OBD1 manual you seek, POB for F22B2 motors. The automatics cars have a ECU and TCU, one for the engine and one for the transmission so it wont matter if its an out of an auto or manual just as long as its for the F22B2

Dude, the auto will ahve to ECU's on the holding plate in passenger side foot panel behind the carpet. the small on is the TCU and the alrger is the ECU. just use the larger one and youll have to get a conversion harness to from OBDII to OBDI unless you sue the wiring harness ffrom the OBDI car. the ECU has nothing to do with the transmission. I have a OBDI ecu in my 97LX out of a 94LX automatic.

Whoops, sorry I was talking about the TCU. By the way I do remember re-soldering my ECU and not having to buy a new one...Buurrn.

from what i've heard, 94-95 accords have a separate tcu for autos, and the main ecu is pretty similar. 9697 have the tcu integrated in to the main ecu

not to be an *** but we get that we may or may not be able to use the pob from a auto car is there something like a immobilizer or different ecu pinging that we will be running in to when using the pob
